Can it be done?

It has been quite a while since I posted and I'm glad by blog is still here. I have done quite a bit since my last post. I am now a real estate agent with Prudential Carolinas Realty. I also still homeschool. I am also a cell group leader in my church leading a group that meets twice a month. I also serve in our children's ministry.

My first sale will close this Thursday and I am so very excited! I started less than two months ago and already have one sale. I also have a couple in the works. But I am having to pace myself and make sure that I don't burn out. I seriously considered putting my kids back in school. I haven't even ruled it out but I'm trying to maintain my commitment to our priority to homeschool.

Before I started, I was totally convinced that homeschooling and real estate can be done. But I'm becoming discouraged by all the naysayers as well as my inexperience. Its very frustrating at times. I would love to find out from other homeschool moms who have a business how they do it and if they recommend it.

Well, that's all I have time for now. I'll post soon.

I know that it has been a while since you posted.

I would like to say "The Lord will ensure that it can be done, if you want it" Pray about it, fast, and I'm sure the Lord will guide you decision making progress.

My Wife and I homeschooled, and we found that there are somethings that just are not meant to be done.

Depending on the age of the children the easier it becomes.

I will keep you endeavors in prayer and blessings in you work with the Youth Ministry.

Do you remember why you wanted to homeschool to begin with?

You cannot put a price on your kid’s soul! No matter what, I would not send them back to school! Try to keep your priorities straight!

Perhaps you can focus on real estate on the weekends, or wait until your children are done with school all together?

I operate a daycare out of my home, which has been a great way to stay home with my children and homeschool them, while generating some income.

Blessings to you ~

Thank you for all of your comments. Just so you all know and if it makes any difference, we would never consider public school. I am referring to putting them back in an awesome Christian school that my son attended during Kindergarten. In any case, we have decided to continue home schooling. Thanks again!

I think Christian kids are essential to the public school population. Just a thought - but who's going to minister to the the throngs if the ministers are all homeschooled?
